After seeing many other bloggers create these types of posts, I’ve decided to create one of my own! I especially enjoy reading Angela and Jamie’s coffee date posts. If you don’t already know, this type of post is meant to serve as a catch-up, a chit-chat about life as if we were at Starbucks catching up over coffee (or a chai-tea latte in my case). Without further ado, let me give you the state of the union on my life.
*Chai-tea latte purchased at Tout Suite. If you are in the Houston area I highly recommend! The food/beverages are amazing and the atmosphere is even better!
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I am feeling overwhelmed. I need to finish my taxes and have some deadlines coming up at work. I also have several big decisions I need to make in the coming months. Pretty sure I am making it worse by procrastinating and not using my free time to do some much needed research. One of these decisions is buying a new car… wish me luck!
If we were having coffee… I would reveal that I feel like I am in a rut. I am feeling uninspired at work and feel like my strengths are not being utilized. One of my goals for this year is to move toward having a career that I am passionate about. I’m thinking it might be time to make some new moves…
If we were having coffee… I would talk about my recent ideas for blog posts. I have so many style posts in mind (outfits of the week, work wardrobe essentials, and transitioning winter outfits into spring). I would also tell you about my struggle to find someone that has enough time to help me take pictures. It might be time for me to invest in a camera and a tripod. I finally took the plunge and treated myself to a MacBook a few weeks ago. If buy a good camera, my blogging tool kit will be complete!
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I tried hot yoga this month. I don’t think I have ever sweat so much in my entire life. Although I felt sticky and gross afterward, I found the sweating to be oddly satisfying. I loved how I was able to relax and de-stress for an hour. I need to make an effort to attend a class more often!
Wow! I felt like that was a lot of information. Hope you didn’t get too bored. It was fun to wrap up my month in a casual conversation-like post. It really felt like I was filling in a friend on my life at the moment. I would love to know how the month of February has treated you guys. Has anyone tried hot yoga?!
I love that you’re doing a catch up post! I always love reading these, as I like to know what’s been going on haha! I am pro investing in a tripod, it makes taking photos so much easier as you can do it on your own, which is definitely a time saver!
I’ve never tried hot yoga, I don’t really like sweating too much (same reason as why I don’t like saunas!), so I can’t say I’ve ever been tempted! However, I can definitely see the benefits of it 🙂

I think I might have to splurge and buy a tripod! Hot yoga can definitely feel gross afterwards 😂 I’m usually not a fan of sweating too much either, but I really enjoyed this class! Thanks for stopping by!
