Christmas 2017

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday break. I definitely ate too many sweets and had a few too many movie marathons at home. Christmas has come and gone, but I still wanted to share a few memories from my Christmas this year. In all honesty, this Christmas was different for me. My grandma has been ill, and was unable to make it to our annual family Christmas Eve party. My mom decided to be with my grandma that night, so she too was missing. The party was not the same without them! Even though two very important members of my family were missing, I’m still glad I got to see so many members of my extended family on Christmas Eve!

A group photo with some of my cousins. We take a photo together every Christmas!

A closer look at my Christmas Eve look. I usually wear a dress, but this year I opted for some cute cropped pants from Zara. I couldn’t resist the cute plaid pattern!

Although my mom and grandma were unable to attend the Christmas Eve party, I was so happy I got to spend Christmas day with them! It’s easy to get caught up in the stress of the holidays and forget the true meaning of the season. For me, this holiday season was about appreciating family and the people who have shined a positive light in my life this year. This Christmas was also especially hard because it was my first Christmas without my dog Hershey since receiving her as a Christmas gift in the 3rd grade. Unfortunately, she passed away a few weeks ago. Hershey lived a great life, and I have nothing but the best memories with her. Although I will continue to miss her, she will be in my heart forever!

Isn’t my Grandma the cutest?!

I would love to hear about your holidays this year. Leave me comment and let me know! I can’t wait to see what the new year has to offer. Wishing you all the best of luck in 2018!
