June Favorites

Saying that I can’t believe it’s July would be an understatement. I can’t believe we are half-way through the year!! HOW?! I feel like if I blink too fast it will be Christmas. I can safely say that as I get older, time seems to go by faster.

I usually don’t do favorites posts as I can sometimes get into a routine (more like rut!) of using the same products. In June, I added some new products to my routine and rediscovered some old products that I have fallen in love with once again. I also have a few fashion items that were on repeat last month.

Skincare

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil: I used this as a spot treatment a couple of years ago and stopped using it for some reason. I recently repurchased it and am so glad I did! I swear if I apply it where I feel a pimple coming on it will stop the blemish from rising. It also helps heal an already formed pimple within a few days (any brand of tea tree oil should work!)

Nip+Fab Glycolic Scrub–   I use this scrub once or twice a week to exfoliate my skin. The grains in the scrub are very small and fine, perfect for sensitive skin. I find that this product exfoliates my skin without irritating it. I also find the glycolic acid in this scrub helps reduce texture and fade dark spots.

Makeup

Bareminerals Original Foundation and The Tarte Shape Tape Concealer: It is extremely hot here in Texas! When it’s this hot, I avoid wearing too much face makeup as it has a tendency to melt off. This month I used the Tarte Shape Tape concealer (review here) to conceal dark circles and any blemishes on my face. I then went over my entire face with a light layer of Bareminerals Original Foundation powder. I found that this combination looked super natural on my skin and didn’t get as oily as a liquid foundation normally would.

Kat Von D Lolita II– Love the shade range and formula of these liquid lipsticks (full review here). Lolita II is a great brick-toned nude shade perfect for everyday. It can also be transitioned for a night out with a smokey eye!

Fashion

Blush Pink Slides: I know I’ve featured these on the blog a few times already, but I had to include them! I wore these non-stop in June. They go with almost any outfit and are super comfy. One of my favorite Forver21 finds this summer.

White OTS Top: Another great buy from Forever21! I won’t talk too much about this top as I have gone on about it in several posts (here & here). Let’s just say I will probably be wearing it just as much in July as I did in June!

Kendra Scott Cuff: I received this cuff from my mom as a Birthday gift back in February. However, I didn’t really start using it until June. It was the perfect dainty accessory to add to almost any outfit (dressy or casual). I also loved how it looked with my gold vintage watch.
