Top 3 Favorite Lip Combinations

I like to be adventurous when it comes to lip products. Who am I kidding, I usually stick to nudes and mauve hues! However, I can say this: I love to layer and experiment with mixing different lip products. Today I thought I would share with you guys some of go-to lip combinations!

The Glossy Brown-Toned Nude

This is one of my all time favorite nude lip combinations. I first like to apply the Jordana lip liner in Tawny to line and fill in my lips. I then apply MAC Velvet Teddy all over my lips. I finish with adding NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Peanut Brittle to the center of my lips.

The Mauve-Pink Matte

Not gonna lie, there have been months where I have worn this matte lip combo almost everyday of the week. I first use MAC Soar to line and fill in the corners of my lips. I then apply the NYX Matte lip cream in Cannes all over my lips.

The Brick-Toned Matte Nude

Another nude lip combo. Surprise, surprise. I use MAC Spice to line my lips and then apply Milani Colorstatement Matte Lipstick in Matte Beauty (one of my all-time favorite drugstore lipsticks). This lipstick can be a bit drying so I make sure to apply a lip balm beforehand. I have been loving the Burt’s Bees moisturizing lip balm in coconut & pear.

  9. OOO you should make this into some sort of series throughout the year. In the fall you can do bold lip combos and around the holidays you can do red lip combos etc.
    I need to try that coconut & pear lip balm! I’ve always stuck to just the pomegranate and the vanilla ones that burts bees has.

  10. Oooh, Velvet Teddy was one of my favorite MAC lipsticks a while back but I got bored with it after a while, maybe this will help rekindle my love for it! Lovely post, + some great combo ideas, thank you!

  16. I’m just like you, I like to be adventurous with lippies but only when it comes to mixing (mostly nude) tones. I love that NYX lip butter, but girl if you like NYX you should totally try their Lip Suede in Sandstorm, of course if you haven’t already- but its a perfect nude color and it’ll be a good color to work with!!!
