Awards Round-Up/ Get to Know Me

Hello everyone,

As many of you know, I usually only blog about fashion and beauty here on Style in the Afternoon. I was recently nominated for a few awards, and I thought this would be a great way for you all to get to know me a bit better!

The fabulous Emily from emilyxonline and Ale from dazedmuse have nominated me for the Liebster award. I adore both of their blogs! Over on Emily’s blog you can find product reviews, makeup tutorials, and some lifestyle posts. Ale has an awesome fashion blog where she writes about the latest fashion trends, her personal style, and identifies the style of some of her favorite fashion icons. My 11 Facts:

1. I’m an Aquarius! (My Birthday is February 10th)
2. I love grilled Salmon! Especially with pineapple on top
3. I’m 5’3 (not exactly short, but just short enough to buy petite sizes)
4. I sometimes get overwhelmed in Forever21. Too many options!
5. I have naturally super wavy hair
6. Even though my stomach is sensitive to dairy, I occasionally indulge in pizza.
7. My favorite color is blue (specifically the color of a Tiffany box)
8. Most of the time I prefer flat shoes to heels
9. I have a half sister named Sara
10. I’m an introvert! Wish I would have branched out and joined a few more organizations in college
11. I go for a run or walk outside almost daily. I have noticed this really helps my anxiety!

 

Emily’s Questions:

• What is your go-to lipstick? Kat Von D Lolita Liquid Lipstick
• Matte finish or Glowy finish? Matte! I have an oilt T-Zone so my face usually ends up being glowy no matter what finish I am going for.
• Favorite nail polish shade for winter? Wicked by Essie
• Do you prefer straight, wavy or curly hair? I love big curls!
• Ideal weekend plans? A relaxing weekend in watching netflix in the winter and a trip to the beach in the summer!
• How many pairs of socks do you own? Too many to count!
• What do you like to do on a rainy day? Stay in and watch a movie
• Favorite high-end brand and favorite drugstore brand? High-end: Too Faced Drugstore: Milani
• If you were only allowed to use one makeup product, what would it be? Concealer!
• Favorite pizza topping? Pepperoni
• How do you feel right now, in this moment? Relaxed:)

Ale’s Questions:

1. How did blogging start? I wanted a place to share my love for style and beauty and a way to connect with others with similar interests.
2. What do you like most in your life? My family and my dog Hershey!
3. Whom do you admire most in the world? My grandma!
4. If you had the option to move to another country, where would you like to go? Europe (specifically Italy)
5. If there was only one season throughout the year, which would you prefer? Spring!
6. How would you describe your style? Classic and feminine with a bit of an edge
7. Which is your favorite fashion item? My blush pink Tory Burch bag
8. What is the best thing that happened to you? Graduating from college!
9. What is your favorite thing to do? Currently my favorite thing to do is create content for my blog
10. What product can you not live without? Moisturizer
11. What makes you feel accomplished? Setting a goal for myself and achieving that goal no matter how long it takes
