Closet Confidential Tag

Hey friends! How has everyone’s week been so far? Today I wanted to share the Closet Confidential Tag. I was inspired to participate in this tag by the wonderful Angela from LifeofAngela. Angela has a lifestyle blog where she posts everything from recipes and rambles to daily life with her husband. I highly recommend you check out her blog if you haven’t already!

Let’s get into the tag…

What is the oldest item in your wardrobe?

A black clutch with a chain strap my mom found at a second hand store. I’m not quite sure how old this actually is, but seeing that my mom found it at Goodwill I assume it has been around for quite some time. I have used this clutch for almost every formal occasion I have attended! The design is simple and elegant and black goes with everything!

What is the newest item?

This black eyelet dress. Can you believe I scored this for $19.99 at H&M?!

What is the most expensive item in your wardrobe?

Tory Burch riding boots I got for Christmas a few years ago

What was the biggest bargain?

I found this at a Kate Spade outlet for around $40. I think the original price of the wallet was around $180!

What was the biggest waste of money?

Probably my UGG boots. I purchased these in high school when they were super popular. Though they are super comfy, it hardly ever gets cold enough to wear these in Texas.

 

What is the most affordable/cheapest thing (that you use a lot)?

I found this tee at H&M ($17) about a month ago and I find myself wanting to wear it all the time! The detailed sleeves are so on trend and the material is so soft!

I also wanted to mention this knit cardigan from Express. I believe I got a pretty good deal on it a couple of years back. It is perfect to throw on over almost any outfit if it is a little chilly outside!

What are your three favorite items right now?

My favorite pair of ripped knee high-waist jeans from Zara, my blush pink slides from Forever21, and my vintage high-waisted shorts.

These are actually old-school high waist jeans from Goodwill that I cut into shorts!

What is your favorite piece that you’ve gotten as a gift? 

My cousin got me this crop top with a knotted hem from Zara for Christmas last year. She really nailed this gift! I have worn this top so many times for nights out in the colder months.

What is the most comfortable item?

My black Nike shorts. I wear these for working out, running errands, and lounging around the house.

What is the most outrageous/colorful item in your closet (that you absolutely love)?

My wardrobe is pretty basic and I usually stick to neutral colors. I don’t really own anything too outrageous or colorful. This bag is about as crazy as it is going to get! I got this bright pink cross-body bag  from Urban Outfitters a few years ago. My go-to bag for going out clubbing (the perfect pop of color for an all black outfit) !

What is the most uncomfortable item (but you would take the pain because you love it)?

This pair of black strappy heels from A’Gaci. They look so elegant paired with a formal outfit but the angle/heel placement is SO uncomfortable. I can only walk short distances in them. If they work perfectly with an outfit, sometimes it is worth the pain!

Pick your favorite black item and your favorite white item.

This black cami from J.Crew Factory (one of wardrobe staples)!

I have so many great white items in my closet so this was a tough one for me. I am loving these white ripped skinny jeans from Lulu’s at the moment!

Something that you love but everyone else hates?

Like I said earlier, I don’t have anything too crazy in my wardrobe. I love this leather skirt for a night out, but it does have a few haters. Haha!

Something that you’re excited to wear soon?

The black dress featured as my newest item in my wardrobe. I have so many ideas on ways to style this dress. Stay tuned for an OOTD post with this dress soon!

This was such a fun post to create! I felt so inspired looking through my closet and rediscovering some old favorites. I’m not sure if this tag was supposed to include accessories, but I included them anyway! I hope you enjoyed having a look into my closet.
