The Spring Beauty Edit

As I was rummaging through my makeup collection, I rediscovered several products I wanted to add into my makeup rotation. Seeing that we are well into spring, I thought I would revamp my beauty routine. I have added some brighter colors and makeup that is well suited for the warmer months ahead. This edit will allow me to utilize some products already in my collection and add in some fun new colors!

Face:

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation (Beige 40)- I purchased this awhile back. I never reached for it as the shade was not a good match for my skin tone. It was a touch too dark and pink toned for my skin. This foundation is light-weight and glides on the skin when applied. Now that I am getting some more sun maybe the foundation will work for me!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush (natural beauty)- I love the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes. They are so pigmented and long-lasting. This shade is very bright, but applied with a light hand it gives the cheeks a natural flush. Perfect for Spring!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid (opal)- Liquid highlighters are ideal for the warmer months! They give the skin a natural glow. A little goes a long way with this product. I tap a small amount on the tops of my cheekbones after foundation.

Lips:

Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick (680 Mesmerizing Magenta)-  I have been in a lipstick rut these last couple of months. I pretty much only wear nudes or pinky-mauve tones. I usually only wear bold lips in the winter, but I thought this magenta hue would be a perfect way to change up my lip game for spring!

NYX Intense Butter Gloss (peanut brittle)-  I’m usually not a gloss girl, but this gloss looks so gorgeous on the lips. The formula is a bit sticky, but it is also very pigmented and long-lasting. I love this peachy-caramel shade. Looks great with a smoky eye for a night out!

I wore this gloss over the Jordana lip liner in Tawny for a night out last week. It does appear lighter on the lips than when swatched!

Eyes:

L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow (Iced Latte)-  Hands-down my favorite drugstore eyeshadow! These shadows are extremely pigmented and appear metallic on the lids. The Iced-Latte shade is perfect as an all over lid color or in the inner corners or center of the lid to highlight.

Nails:

Essie Nail Polish in Bikini so Teeny– I’ve been obsessed with periwinkle lately! I am currently looking to add some periwinkle colored clothing items to my wardrobe. While the formula of this nail polish is nothing groundbreaking, the shade is beautiful! The polish is opaque after two coats and lasts for about a week with a top coat. My go-to spring polish!
